In Spring 2003 five Dutchmen had a very successful ski expedtition in Nepal. On March 29 two members summited and skied down Mera Peak (6462 m) and on April 3 the entire team reached the summit of Island Peak (6189 m). In between, the difficult Amphu Lapcha pass (5780 m) was crossed on skis.
