After previous night it was a little bit difficult to get up at seven, this morning.. Fortunalty Ngima was
half an hour late, so we had time for our last cup of coffee at the Summit Hotel. Unlike yesterday, the sky was clear so we could take off to Phaplu, without hitting any mountains. Probably the landing on Phaplu "airport" was the most dangerous experience of this trip. But luckly the mountain gods were happy with our arrival and the plane landed safely. Most of the porters were already waiting anxiously for us, and after a few minutes the first pair of
ski's were on the back of the first porter. 15 porters, 1 cook, 2 sherpa and 1 sirdar with each about 50 kilo's on their back accompanied us to Ringmo, our first camp. Overwhelming scenery, great views, warm sun but later rain and snow. A great possibility to test our gear.
